One day Margie, the best fisher in her family, slips on the rocks and tumbles into the water. But instead of drowning, she sprouts fins and a tail and discovers she can breathe underwater! Margie’s worldview changes as she learns, through her encounters with animals and elders, of her relationship to her Indigenous forbears, the Salmon People. This beautiful tale told through dance and drama encourages young people to consider who they are and their own relationship to our planet.
